My work background is in Volunteering within the Community and Welfare Sector of the Gold Coast and I have been employed at the Gold Coast City Council in the Social Planning and Development Branch. My role is as Disability Enquiry Officer, which includes providing information to community members on a range of services. As a person with a disability myself  I  have a strong motivation to  see positive change around issues facing people with disabilities.

During my years working in this sector I have noticed that there is a large proportion of Non-profit organisations in Queensland that simply do not have funding to put their own websites in place. So I began to have a vision about how to provide a service whereby I can provide non-profit  organisations in Queensland with the opportunity of advertising their services via a website. This would also assist the community in general as many people are not aware of what certain non-profit agencies are around and what their services offer. Of course there are many online directories and  community directories available through local councils but they are still limited in what information they can give regarding the services in the community.
